One day after witnessing the deadly terror attack in Barcelona, the Oregon State men's basketball team has elected to continue with its trip to Spain.
The Beavers on Friday departed Barcelona by bus for their next location on the 13-day trip. They are scheduled to play their first game Saturday against the Valencia-based club Combinado Valenciano. The city is more than 200 miles south of Barcelona. Last week, Arizona beat Combinado Valenciano 113-44.
The original first game of the trip was scheduled for Thursday night in Barcelona, but was cancelled after the attack.
Oregon State was staying at a hotel Thursday in the Las Ramblas district of Barcelona near where a white van intentionally hit pedestrians, killing 13 people and injuring more than 100.
