Oregon State will take on the Oklahoma Sooners in the inaugural Phil Knight Invitational next year at the Moda Center in Portland. The event will also feature Oregon taking on Memphis. The event will take place on November 12th. This will be the fourth matchup between the two teams and first since 2000-2001 season. Oklahoma leads the series 4-0.
The Phil Knight Invitational is a follow up to the PK80 tournament held in 2017. That event, held to celebrate Phil Knight’s 80th birthday and honor his contributions to college basketball, featured two eight-team tournaments. The Phil Knight Invitational is currently scheduled to be held through 2021.
