In a Monday afternoon news conference following the report that football coach Gary Andersen and Oregon State University had mutually parted ways, interim head coach Cory Hall said that the 2018 recruiting class remains a high priority.
"Our players are our priority, our recruits are," he said. "I'll be on the phone - I've already reached out to a couple of mine - but I'll be on the phone with all of our commitments. And again, assure them that everything is fine."
Oregon State athletic director Scott Barnes also indicated his role is to support the current coaching staff, and to relay the message to Oregon State recruits that a future in Corvallis remains a desirable future destination.
