Oregon State suffered their 10th loss of the season as they quickly fell into a 30-0 hole ,and ultimately lost 40-24 to the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Sun Devils, who became bowl eligible with their victory in Corvallis, outgained the Beavers 453-375. The Sun Devils led at Halftime 30-7. The Beavers outscored ASU 17-10 in the Second Half and had an opportunity to make the game a one score game in the Fourth Quarter, but QB Darrell Garretson fumbled the snap on the Arizona State 10 yard line and the Sun Devils recovered. Arizona State was able to run out the clock.
