More awards are releasing their preseason watch lists, and once again Hamilcar Rashed Jr. makes the cut. This time, its the Bronko Nagurski Trophy that’’s keeping its eye on Rashed. The award, which is handed out to each season’s best defensive player as decided by the Football Writers Association of America, announced their preseason favorites earlier today.
Rashed is one of the early favorites for the award after his incredible 2019 season, during which he racked up 43 solo tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss and 14 sacks. Some of the other big names to watch on the list include Miami’s Gregory Rousseau, LSU’s Derek Stingley Jr.
