BEND – A few days ago, Jonathan Smith insisted he wouldn’t announce a choice on Oregon State’s starting quarterback following Thursday’s scrimmage at Bend’s Summit High School.
While Smith stayed true to his word, it appears a decision is just around the corner.
Jake Luton, Conor Blount and Jack Colletto made their final pitches for the job during the 90-minute scrimmage. Preseason camp officially ends Friday with a light workout to go over the scrimmage.
It’s expected that there will be a name on the starter’s line for quarterback when the depth chart for the Sept.
