Oregon State Football Player Tests Positive For COVID-19

Oregon State’s Athletic Director Scott Barnes announced today that an Oregon State Football player has tested positive for COVID-19. Three other players have entered self-quarantine. Barnes went on the say that this weekend’s road game against Washington is still happening. Steve Gress, writing for the Corvallis Gazette-Times, has more information.

The announcement comes on the heels of Washington State, the Beavers’ opponents last weekend, also announcing a positive coronavirus test. Since returning to play a week ago, the Pac-12 Conference has been wracked by the disease, cancelling two games on the first weekend. College football as a whole has fared no better; a bevy of high profile games have been cancelled or postponed.
