Oregon State Football: Linebacker Hamilcar Rashed Jr. Named 2020 Walter Camp Preseason First-Team All-American

Oregon State linebacker Hamilcar Rashed Jr. received some great news on Thursday, when the Walter Camp Football Foundation named him a 2020 Preseason First-Team All-American selection.

A menacing 6’ 4”, 240 pound tackling machine, Rashed Jr. ended his 2019 campaign as a First-Team All-American choice by Sports Illustrated, The Athletic and Phil Steele, and earned Second-Team All-American nods from CBS Sports, the Associated Press and fittingly, the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

He lead all of college football with 22.5 tackles for loss, as well as totalling 62 tackles, 14 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.

This preseason, the rising senior has been surrounding by a string of great praise, as he was recently named an All-Pac-12 First Team selection by Athlon Sports and chosen as one of the forty-two selections for the 2020 Lott IMPACT Trophy Award, an award given annually to the defensive player with the biggest “IMPACT” on his team, both on-and-off the field.
