With the season opener against Ohio State less than a week today, Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith has released the team’s first depth chart of the season. As expected, Jake Luton was named the team’s starting Quarterback for this weekend.
Luton is returning from a 2017 injury that kept him out most of the season. With Darell Garretson leaving the program, the way looked clear for Luton to reclaim the starting spot. He battled with Conor Blount in spring and fall practices, and while Blount looked strong at times, Luton secured the spot in the last round of practices.
