CORVALLIS - Avery Roberts, a highly-touted linebacker prospect for the recruiting class of 2017, has left Nebraska and transferred to Oregon State.
Roberts, who played high school football in Delaware, was the No. 6 inside linebacker prospect by 247Sports in 2017. Rivals.com ranked Roberts as a top 100 player for his recruiting class.

Roberts, who signed with former Nebraska coach Mike Riley and played last season for current Beavers linebacker coach Trent Bray, had four tackles last season, all on special teams.
Due to NCAA rules, Roberts must sit out the 2018 season.
