Defensive coordinator Kevin Clune gave a pretty blunt assessment of the defense’s performance in Friday’s scrimmage, noting the first unit “played real well, and that’s what they’re supposed to do in a 1s versus 2s scrimmage,” that the second-teamers “need a lot of improvement” and that he was “very unhappy” with the third unit.
