Oregon State has extended men's basketball coach Wayne Tinkle's contract for 2 years. Tinkle, who originally signed a contract running through the 2019-2020 season when he arrived in 2014 from Montana, took a team that was picked to finish last in the Pac-12 to the most home wins, 15, in program history, and a 17-14 record.
In year 2, with a stellar recruiting class signed, this past season saw a 19 win campaign, and a 3 way tie for 6th in the Pac-12, which was good enough for the Beavers' first trip to the NCAA Tournament in 26 years.
