CORVALLIS, Ore. – Forced to play down a man for the majority of the match, the Oregon State University men's soccer program stayed hot on the heels of UCLA on Thursday afternoon at Paul Lorenz Field.
The Beavers (3-7-0, 0-2-0 Pac-12) conceded a goal midway through the second half to the Bruins (4-5-0, 1-2-0 Pac-12) and ended up taking the loss at 1-0.
"Playing 76 minutes down a man to UCLA is a tall task" said head coach Steve Simmons, "but I'm proud of how the guys dug in and worked hard to give us a chance to win the game.
