Oregon State defensive players 'just have to be more physical'

CORVALLIS -- It took one offensive snap for Arizona to set the tone in last Saturday's runaway victory at Reser Stadium.

With three receivers right and one more to his left, quarterback Khalil Tate lined up in shotgun next to running back J.J. Taylor. Tate ran a simple option with Taylor, faking a handoff and darting around the left side for an easy nine-yard gain.

The preseason Heisman Trophy hopeful did little damage with his legs the rest of the way, but the early option keeper opened things up for Arizona's backs. Taylor rushed for a career-high 284 yards while Gary Brightwell added 113 in a 35-14 trouncing of Oregon State.
