One) I reached out to Washington State football coach Mike Leach after his team out-scored Oregon State 56-37 at Reser Stadium on Saturday night. The Cougars are 5-1, and wanted to get Leach's opinion of the Beavers' before they disappeared in his rear-view mirror.
It was enlightening.
Leach told me that he thinks OSU freshman running back Jermar Jefferson -- now the conference leader with 865 rushing yards -- has emerged as the leading candidate for the title of Best Running Back in the Pac 12 Conference.
