CORVALLIS -- Playing its first game this season after former coach Gary Andersen's abrupt departure, Oregon State hung tough before losing to Colorado 36-33 on Saturday at Reser Stadium.
The Beavers held a 19-14 lead at halftime after executing five consecutive scoring drives for the first time all season.
OSU had a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds, but Jordan Choukair's 52-yard field goal attempt was short, and Colorado (4-3, 1-3 Pac-12) held on for its first conference victory of the season.
Here's how OSU (1-6, 0-4) dropped its fifth in a row to become the only Pac-12 team without a conference win:
TOP PERFORMANCES: Colorado senior running back Phillip Lindsay broke out with a 74-yard touchdown run on the Buffaloes' fifth play from scrimmage and finished with 185 yards on 28 carries and two touchdowns.
