BERKELEY, Calif. -- Oregon State dropped its 17th consecutive game on the road and fell to 1-8 on the season with a 37-23 loss at California on Saturday.
The Beavers have lost seven consecutive games this season, remain the only Pac-12 team without a conference win and fell to 0-3 under interim coach Cory Hall.
TOP PERFORMANCES: Cal running back Patrick Laird entered the day with two 100-yard rushing games but was over the century mark in the second quarter by the Golden Bears' third drive. He finished with 214 rushing yards on 33 carries and one touchdown.
