After leading for most of the game, the Oregon State Beavers men's basketball team saw its advantage evaporate in the closing minutes of an 82-77 loss to St. John's on Thursday at the AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando, Florida.
The Beavers had an eight-point lead at 65-57 after Stephen Thompson Jr.'s free throws with 7:42 to play, but St. John's tied the game at 67-67 three minutes later on Marvin Clark II's layup. The Red Storm then took a lead they wouldn't relinquish on Kassoum Yakwe's dunk with 4:15 left.
