INDIANAPOLIS — The day before the biggest game of their lives, Oregon State players slid around the American Airlines Center in their socks hunting for Easter eggs.
"Ruth is getting tackled at mid-court and Easter eggs are flying everywhere," Beavers coach Scott Rueck recalled earlier this week. "I loved it. It made me smile."
To outsiders, this activity might have seemed odd heading into the Beavers' Elite Eight contest against mighty Baylor. But it was fitting for this bunch. The ultimate result was another win, after all, as OSU (32-4) continues to make history during its magical run in March.
