Oregon State men's basketball signee Ben Koné had successful surgery to repair the ACL and meniscus in his left knee Friday, his mother told The Oregonian/OregonLive.
Kristina Koné wrote via text that her son's surgeon said he is expected to make a full recovery and that his knees were structurally sound.
"It's the best news possible for the type of injury he had," she wrote.
Koné injured his knee during a game last month. He said Thursday that the injury will not affect the timing of his arrival in Corvallis over the summer and that he plans to finish his rehab in Oregon.
