Oregon State Beavers aim to maintain lofty standards after savoring historic season

CORVALLIS — After Jamie Weisner had fielded all the questions about mighty Connecticut and the end of her college career, teammate Taylor Kalmer made her way across the Oregon State locker room inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to wrap Weisner in a hug.

It could have been viewed as a sentimental passing of the torch, from the All-American departing senior to the freshman mentee already affectionately nicknamed "Baby Jamie."

The Beavers will continue to savor this magnificent season, where they shattered records en route to their first trip to the Final Four. But soon, they'll also turn their attention to 2016-17, when OSU must retool its roster while maintaining lofty standards.
