For Gary Andersen and the Oregon State Beavers coaching staff, a mantra has been repeated around the office, locker room and football field when it comes to adding talent to the roster - "Recruiting never stops."

The obvious connotation is that the coaching staff should work tirelessly to improve the roster via high school, junior college and transfer talent.

Often overlooked, however, is Andersen's dedication to leaving spots open after Signing Day in order to survey the college football landscape and identify late qualifiers or sleeper talents.

This year's summer search found the coaching staff plucking talent out of America Samoan, Australia and the junior college ranks, landing four class of 2017 prospects, three of which may compete for starting jobs immediately.
