CORVALLIS – After a slow start in a turnover-packed first half, Oregon State clamped down defensively and cruised to a 74-52 win over Northwest Christian.
The victory kicked off a rapid-fire start to the year, in which the Beavers play five games in an 11-day stretch.
Key run: The Beavers made up for their sluggish start to the game by dominating both sides of the floor after the break. Oregon State began mixing up its defensive looks and went on a 10-0 run to start the half, holding Northwest Christian without a point for 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
