Oregon State basketball points to 'clean slate' at Pac-12 tournament after record-setting loss

CORVALLIS - At the end of each Gill Coliseum home game, win or lose, the Oregon State men's basketball team huddles together at center court.

On Saturday, following an 80-59 loss to No. 6 Oregon to mark the regular season finale, Beavers coach Wayne Tinkle joined the group. He addressed the players and staff for an extended period after the 21-point Civil War defeat marked OSU's 26th loss of the season - now the program's most in a single season.

Tinkle declined to share specifics of what he said to the team but did acknowledge his remarks involved looking ahead amid the toughest year of his coaching career.
