For the second game in a row the Beavers failed to get a run on the board against the Stanford Cardinal, losing 5-0 to give Stanford the series win. Oregon State falls to 33-22 overall, and 15-14 in Pac-12 play.
After an amazing game last week, Cooper Hjerpe didn’t get much of a chance to show off on Friday. In the first inning Stanford grabbed their first run of the game after two back to back singles and a throwing error. That wouldn’t count against Hjerpe, but the next couple would.
In the third inning, Hjerpe and the Beavers worked two quick ground outs, but then a single from the Cardinal’s Brock Jones got the Cardinal started.
