Oregon State Baseball: Beavers Drop Game 1 Against Oregon 7-0

After not dropping a game since their opening day loss to Kansas State, the Beavers finally came up short. Starting pitcher Kevin Abel struggled, and Oregon State’s offense was shut down by an incredible performance from Oregon starter Robert Ahlstrom, en route to a 7-0 loss. The 16th ranked Beavers fall to 10-2.

The Beavers managed only 4 hits over the course of the game; a single from Jacob Melton in the first, a single from Andy Armstrong in the second, another single from Armstrong in the fifth and a single from Wade Meckler in the eighth. No Beavers were walked or hit by pitches, so those were also the Beavers only baserunners for the game.
