CORVALLIS -- Five days after a sub-par second stretch cost Oregon State men's basketball a game against Wyoming, the Beavers bounced back Saturday with a 89-81 win over Long Beach State after staving off a late comeback attempt.
Key runs: OSU led by as many as 10 points in the first half, but coach Wayne Tinkle took a timeout after two poor defensive possessions dropped the lead to 29-25. The Beavers responded with an 11-6 run to close in the final 2:37 before halftime, finished off by a right-corner three-pointer from Kendal Manuel to take a 40-31 lead.
