CORVALLIS - Oregon State opened Pac-12 play with a 76-57 victory over Colorado on Friday night at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers cruised during the second half, leading by as many as 23 points.
Top performances: Tres Tinkle sparked OSU from the jump, finishing with 23 points, six assists and three steals. Stephen Thompson Jr. broke out after a slow start, pouring in 22 of his 24 points in the second half. His younger brother Ethan Thompson added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Key runs: Colorado took its first lead of the night when Dominque Collier hit a pair of free throws to put the Buffaloes up 23-22 with 2:02 left in the first half.
