CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State baseball team is Omaha bound for the sixth time in the program's history.
The top-seeded Beavers defeated Vanderbilt 9-2 on Saturday in front of a packed Goss Stadium at Coleman Field crowd of 3,734, sending Oregon State to the 2017 College World Series.
Oregon State (54-4 overall) is slated to take on the winner of Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton – they play game three Sunday - with the NCAA College World Series bracket slated to be announced Monday night at 8 p.m. PT.
KJ Harrison hit a third-inning home run and Bryce Fehmel held Vanderbilt to five hits and two runs on Saturday night in the final game of the season at what has been an electric Goss Stadium.
