The recurring theme of this season has been Oregon State's habit of falling into scoring droughts during games, often during the final ten minutes or so of close games. Tonight against Oregon was more of the same story, except that the drought hit during the first half and the Beavers were never able to fully recover.
After Oregon State fell down by as much as 21 points during the first half, they were able to claw back enough to excite the handful of Beaver fans that hadn't tuned out but not enough to ever truly threaten Oregon. When the final buzzer sounded, the Beavers walked off the court with a 66-57 loss.
