CORVALLIS — For the first six games of his true freshman season, Noah Togiai only took the field on pass plays.
But in a mid-October contest against Colorado, Togiai lined up to battle in the trenches for the first time. He insists he used proper hand placement and footwork to block a Beavers' run play.
Yet he still got "blown over" by the opposing defensive lineman.
"He just overpowered me because of how light I was and the lack of strength that I had," Togiai recently recalled.
Togiai now hopes those types of moments are a thing of the past.
