SEATTLE -- Scott Rueck called Oregon State's defense against Arizona State "elite" Monday night, with the way his Beavers forced the Sun Devils deep into the shot clock en route to allowing just 15 second-half points in a dominant 67-44 victory to take over first place in the Pac-12 standings.
But the coach said the Beavers must take it to yet another level this weekend, beginning with Friday night's contest at No. 24 Washington.
"This needs to be our best defensive weekend of the year," Rueck said. "It has to be. We have to maintain momentum in both arenas this weekend.
