SEATTLE — Jamie Weisner took a defensive risk, moving in to double Washington star Kelsey Plum near the top of the key.
The gamble paid off, with Weisner swiping the ball away and barreling the other way for a strong layup to effectively squash a mini Huskies run midway through the fourth quarter.
It was a rare flashy moment for Oregon State during Friday night's visit to Alaska Airlines Arena. But in this case, it's not a swipe at the No. 9 Beavers, who churned out a 61-53 road victory against the 24th-ranked Huskies.
"That's what you do," coach Scott Rueck said.
