CORVALLIS -- Coming off a dominant 73-50 victory over Colorado, Oregon State goes for its 12th consecutive victory when it faces Utah in a Valentine's Day matinee at Gill Coliseum.
After a surprising start, Utah has lost six of its past eight games, including a 69-58 defeat at Oregon Friday night. But with center Emily Potter averaging a double-double (16.3 points, 10.5 rebounds per game), the Utes are another team that Beavers coach Scott Rueck describes as very dangerous.
OSU topped Utah 62-53 three weeks ago in a game where the Beavers led by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter before the Utes' full-court press defense helped them stage a furious rally, getting as close as five points before OSU clinched the victory.
