No. 22 Oregon State tops No. 9 Washington 73-70: Game at a glance

CORVALLIS -- No. 22 Oregon State made a big statement early in the Pac-12 season, racing out to a big first-half lead and then holding off No. 9 Washington 73-30 Sunday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.

The Beavers were propelled by another strong defensive effort, holding the Huskies their second-lowest point total of the season and limiting national scoring leader Kelsey Plum to 22 points on 8 of 23 shooting. The Beavers led by as many as 27 points in the second half, but needed to fend off a furious rally by the Huskies.
