Haley Nist shot a final round even par 72 to join teammate Hannah Swanson with a two-round total of 1-over-par 145 to pace the Oregon State women’s golf team to a third place finish at the rain-shortened Bay Area Intercollegiate at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif.
The Beavers finished the event at 15-over 591, trailing only team champion No. 14 California at 583 and No. 33 Colorado at 586. OSU finished ahead of three teams in the 13-team field that are among the top 50.
“Our team gained valuable experience today playing in the final round with the lead,” Beaver head coach Sammie Chergo said.
