Oregon State sophomore punter Nick Porebski has been selected as one of 10 semifinalists for the prestigious Ray Guy Award, presented annually to the top punter in college football by the Augusta Sports Council.
Porebski is in his first year for the Beavers after transferring from Snow College in Utah. The native of Melbourne, Australia is averaging 41.8 yards per punt on 53 attempts. He has eight kicks of 50-plus yards, including a long of 66 yards against UCLA last week, and he leads the Pac-12 Conference for punts downed inside the opponents’ 20-yard line with 22.
The three finalists will be announced Nov.
