Nick Madrigal Honored By D1Baseball.com

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State second baseman was named to another Freshman All-America team on Wednesday when D1Baseball.com released its first and second teams.

That makes four for Madrigal, who was recognized earlier by Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America and Perfect Game USA. He joins Michael Conforto (2012), (2013), (2015) and (2015) as OSU players to be named to four different Freshman All-America teams.

Madrigal, the Pac-12 Conference's Freshman of the Year, batted .333 in his first season with the Beavers. He played in 49 of the team's 54 games, and tied for the club's lead with 65 hits while accumulating 11 doubles, five triples, one home run and 29 runs batted in.
