NFL Roster Cuts: Beaver Draft Picks Make the Cut

With the NFL season quickly approaching, many teams are making their final roster moves. Former Beaver QB Jake Luton appears to have made the cut. The Jacksonville Jaguars, who drafted Luton in the sixth round of this year’s draft, today announced they had cut quarterbacks Mike Glennon and Joshua Dobbs. That leaves the Jags with two quarterbacks on their roster; Luton and presumed starter Gardner Minshew. The Jaguars may try to add another quarterback before the season starts, but it appears they like Luton as their backup.

Minshew took over as Jacksonville’s starter last season after Nick Foles went down with an injury in the first game of the season.
