CORVALLIS, Ore. – hurled a complete-game shutout and struck out eight batters to help the Oregon State softball team defeat Portland State, 9-0 in five innings Tuesday afternoon at the OSU Softball Complex. The game was the first for the home-and-home series with the Vikings. The Beavers and Vikings will rematch on May 3 in Portland.
The Beavers started the home half of the first inning with a pair of singles and loaded the bases with one out after was hit by a pitch. A wild pitch and throwing error by the Vikings in the next at bat allowed to score to but the Beavs on the board first.
