WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i – Senior Kevin Murphy shot an even-par 72 to lead the Oregon State men's golf team in the first round of the 26th Annual Amer Ari Invitational on Thursday.
The Beaver finished the opening round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 4-over 292 at the par-72, 7,074-yard Waikoloa Kings' Course to put them in a tie for 13th place in the 21-team field.
The second round will begin at 7:30 a.m. Hawai'i time (9:30 a.m. PT) on Friday and live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Murphy had four birdies and four bogeys to shoot a 72 for a tie for 43rd place.
