QUERENCIA, Mexico -- Junior Kevin Murphy fired a 4-under 67 to lead the Oregon State men’s golf team in the second round of the Cabo Collegiate on Monday.
Murphy, a native of Rogue River, Ore., majoring in business, had three birdies and an eagle on the par-5, 539-yard 15th hole for his career-best 67. The excellent round moved him 33 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 15th place with a 1-under 74-67--141.
As a team, the Beavers sit in ninth place with 18 holes to play after posting an 8-over 287-289--576 at the par-71, 6,928-yard Los Cabos Querencia.
