STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman Juliana Mount ran the 8th-fastest 800 meters in school history on Saturday at the Stanford Invitational, capping a strong weekend in the Bay Area for the Oregon State track team’s middle distance crew.

Mount placed fourth in her section in 2:12.03 and 44th overall in a strong field in her first outdoor 800 as a collegian. Her previous PR was 2:15.25 at the Portland Invitational on Feb. 4, the No. 2 indoor mark in school history.

Mount was the only Beaver to compete on Saturday. On Friday, junior Morgan Anderson took first in her section and cut more than a second off her all-time best by running 4:23.
