Moala and Filimoeatu Join Staff

CORVALLIS – Oregon State head football coach Gary Andersen announced Wednesday the addition of JR Moala (Mo-AH-lah) and Bojay Filimoeatu (BO-jay FEE-lee-moy-ah-too) to the staff as defensive quality control personnel.

Moala spent the last year on the Beavers staff as a defensive intern. He was a linebacker at Portland State from 1999-2001 before serving a two-year LDS mission in Venezuela. He returned from his mission and played one season at Hawthorne Junior College in California.

Moala’s older brother, the late Tevita Moala, was a standout linebacker for the Beavers during the 1999 and 2000 seasons.
