MINNEAPOLIS – Minnesota middle linebacker Cody Poock was ejected in the first quarter against Oregon State for targeting Beavers wide receiver Jordan Villamin.
The Beavers were set to go three-and-out after an incompletion on third and 10 from the Oregon State 11-yard line. But Poock launched himself at Villamin after the incompletion, their helmets made contact and officials assessed a 15-yard personal foul that gave the Beavers new life.
OSU went on to score on that drive when Darell Garretson found Noah Togiai in the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown pass to give the Beavers a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter.
