Mike Riley was fired as head coach at Nebraska on Sunday, after three seasons.
Riley was 19-19 while at the helm in Lincoln.
Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos identified UCF head coach Scott Frost as "someone I am considering, but I'm being very sensitive to the fact he's still coaching a team and he's having a heck of a run."
Frost, a former Oregon Ducks assistant, is a Nebraska native and Cornhuskers quarterback.
