Michael Pitre Nominated For Broyles Award

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. Oregon State running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Michael Pitre is one of 56 nominees nationally for the Broyles Award, which is given annually to college football's top assistant coach.

Pitre is in his third season at Oregon State, where he has helped develop Jermar Jefferson into one of the nation's top running backs. Jefferson has rushed for 675 yards and seven touchdowns on 91 carries this season. He is third nationally averaging just 169 rushing yards per game. Jefferson is one of 10 semifinalists for the prestigious Doak Walker Award after being named to its watch list in 2018 and 2019.
