McNairy in Top 10 after Day One in Tucson

TUCSON –Saskia McNairy is inside the top 10 for the Oregon State track and field team after the first day of competition at the Pac-12 Multi-Event Championships in Tucson at Roy P. Drachman Stadium.

Redshirt senior McNairy is currently in ninth place in the women's heptathlon with 3,086 points, currently 336 points behind the leader Hannah Rusnak (Washington). McNairy's best finish of the day came in the last event with a fourth place finish in the 200 meters at 24.60-seconds. She also had top-10 finishes in the 100-meter hurdles, and shot put.

Sophomore Claire Corbitt ended the first day in Tucson in 13th place overall at 2,877 points.
