McMaryion throws first TD pass

Corvallis, Ore. – Quarterback Marcus McMaryion threw his first career touchdown pass to account for Oregon State’s scoring in a 52-7 loss to Washington on Saturday at Reser Stadium.

A redshirt freshman, McMaryion teamed up with Victor Bolden on a 24-yard play with 5:30 left in the third quarter to get OSU on the scoreboard. McMaryion set career highs in completions (8) and yards (109) in his first substantial playing time of the season. He also gained 21 yards on four carries, also a career-high.

Freshman tailback Paul Lucas had a 76-yard run in the first quarter and led the Beavers’ rushing attack with a career-best 82 yards on four carries.
