CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Infielder Nick Madrigal and right-handed pitcher Bryce Fehmel each picked up preseason All-America honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) on Tuesday.
The sophomores were each selected to the third team. Oregon State is the only Pac-12 Conference team with more than one selection to any of the three All-America teams.
Madrigal, the Pac-12 Conference's Freshman of the Year in 2016, batted .333 with 11 doubles, five triples, one home run, 29 runs batted in and eight stolen bases in his first season in Corvallis.
